AB Mechanical metamaterials have attracted attention due to their unique mechanical properties, such as low weight, adjustable stiffness, and auxeticity, making them excellent candidates for biomedical engineering innovative applications such as bone implants, vascular stents, and other healthcare applications. In this review, we will focus on the mechanical properties and behavior of these materials under different conditions, focusing on their application in the field of biomedical engineering.
