AB This article examines the possibility of the application of numerical methods in the determination of valve characteristics. Using a prototype ball valve with an elliptical closing element as an example, comparisons were made between the measured and numerically simulated flow rate and pressure differential values of the valve. This method can be applied in the process of designing the control characteristics of valves.
